The Four Mile Firefighter Challenge

Sun, Sep 7, 2014 @ 9:00 am

The Four Mile Firefighter Challenge was originally to be run last year to help rebuild a firehouse and replace an engine that were damaged in the 2010 Four Mile Fire, but was postponed last year due to the devastating floods which further damaged existing fire houses as well as the entire community.

All proceeds from this race will go the Four Mile Fire Department to rebuild a new fire station and community building.

Don't be fooled by the name, this race will start of the bottom of Fourmile Canyon and climb 10 miles to Gold hill with an elevation gain of 2,335 feet. This is the only hill climb race in Boulder Country. It will be a challenging but fun race. Due to the 2013 floods, the 5 miles of paved roads varies between the pavement and hard-pack dirt then 4+ miles of dirt road to Gold Hill.

Registration fees:

$65 August 2 – September 3

$70 Packet Pickup and Race Day

On-site registration will be at the Boulder Mountain Lodge on Saturday, September 6 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm.

Race day registration will be available at the start.
