I'm sad to share this news with you. A powerful voice in Denver broadcasting has been silenced. The acerbic, brilliant Jay was an early supporter of my broadcasting career. He was always funny and incredibly kind. In fact, when he went on vacation in 1997, Jay saw to it that I would fill in for him on KHOW-AM, no matter how unqualified I happened to be. The Program Director of KBCO at the time heard my attempts to be humorous and invited me to do mornings here. If it weren't for Jay, I wouldn't be on KBCO today.
Thank you forever, Jay.
