"Stairway to Heaven" is in the BILLIONS CLUB!!

Led Zeppelin's iconic "Stairway to Heaven" has become the band's first track to get over a billion streams on Spotify.

The Led Zeppelin 4 track has never been released as a single, but it has been the top track on most classic rock countdowns since it was released in 1971.

Led Zeppelin long battled a lawsuit about whether they lifted the intro to "Stairway to Heaven" from an instrumental by the band Spirit, and it wasn't dismissed until 2021. John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page created that intro using guitar and a wind instrument that millions of kids learn to play in school.

Other classics that are members of Spotify's "Billions Club" are Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way" and "Dreams," Elton John's "Rocket Man," Dire Straits' "Sultans of Swing," Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure," U2's "With or Without You" and R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion."
