Neil Young plays "This Note's For You", for the 1st time in 27 years

Neil Young broke out "This Note's for You" for the first time in 27 years Sunday night when he played the Budweiser Stage in Toronto Sunday night.

Neil Young's "This Note's for You" is a song and album that directly confronts the commercialization of music, particularly the practice of artists licensing their songs for commercials. The title track, "This Note's for You," features a music video that parodies commercial aesthetics and directly calls out brands like Budweiser and Pepsi, leading to its initial ban by MTV.

(The song contains the line "don't sing for Bud.") Watch the performance on YouTube.
