A new box set of Mellon Collie by The Smashing Pumpkins is out 11/21

30th anniversary edition of The Smashing Pumpkins' double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness will be out on November 21st.

The digital, four-CD or six-LP set features a remastered version of the original album, plus 14 previously unreleased tracks from the 1996 Infinite Sadness tour. The vinyl box set also comes with new liner notes in a hardbound book, a custom tarot deck and seven frameable lithographs.

The first track out from the live discs is a version of "Geek USA" recorded in San Diego on January 30th, 1996. Check it out on YouTube.

 

This is the second box set version of Mellon Collie. A five-CD version released in 2012 had 64 bonus tracks of previously unreleased material plus a DVD with footage from two European shows. 

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness was released on October 24th, 1995 and was the Pumpkins' only number-one album. It has sold over five-million copies in the U.S. Four of its singles made the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 -- "Bullet With Butterfly Wings," "1979," "Tonight, Tonight" and "Thirty-Three."
