Some rare Coldplay tapes are hitting the auction block.
Producer Chris Allison worked with them after they signed with Parlaphone Records in 1999 and he engineered and co-produced their 1999 EP The Blue Room. And his recording of "High Speed" ended up on the band's debut album, Parachutes.
Allison is selling off a collection of digital audio tapes and CD-Rs that have alternate mixes, alternate versions and demos from The Blue Room sessions, including unreleased versions of several songs and a previously unheard take of “We Never Change.”
He's also selling off a the original nine-track cassette of demos given to him before recording began and a previously unheard acoustic demo recorded by Chris Martin as a potential title track for the 1999 James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.
The auction runs now through July 19th at WaxPoetics.com.
