According to TheJasmineBrand.com, Wayne's Universal/SoundExchange and Cash Money suits both dealt with unpaid royalties. So, they were just way too similar with one another and the judge wanted the Cash Money one to be revolved first.
Bach in 2014, Wayne sued Birdman and Cash Money for $51 million in damages, claiming that Baby only paid him a small portion of what he was due. Then in March 2016, Weezy sued Universal for not paying him the proper amount of money for discovering Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Earlier this week, cameras snapped Wayne wearing a "F**k Cash Money" hat.
So, we doubt this beef between him and his father figure is going to be settled anytime soon. In other words, Weezy's pay day definitely isn't going to be marked off this calendar year.
