Pedal the Plains

This one-of-a-kind annual cycling event began in 2012 and celebrates the agricultural roots and frontier heritage of Colorado’s Eastern Plains. Described by the Governor as “a ride for the rest of us”, Pedal The Plains seeks to engage riders of all abilities, from seasoned cyclists to first-time riders, in an educational and recreational experience.

“Riding to the edge of the new Frontier.” 

The 3-Day Tour will take participants on a 200 mile adventure as they cycle through the countryside of Colorado’s beautiful Eastern Plain The ride will incorporate interactive on-route experiences by staging rest stops on farms, posting educational points of interest and include locally sourced food for a farm to table experience. In addition to a traditional Century Ride (100 miles), this year will feature the 1st ever Great Mustang Gravel 100 - Combining elements of road and mountain biking, this unique experience will take you on a 100 mile ride on unpaved road through Arapahoe and Elbert Counties. 

All proceeds will go to benefit the Colorado FFA, 4H, and Denver Post Community Foundation
