Game of Thrones Star: Kit Harington Love Scenes Are 'Unusual & Strange'

Emilia Clarke revealed what it's really like to shoot those love scenes with her Game of Thrones co-star, Kit Harington.

In a recent profile in Vanity Fair’s Summer 2018 issue, which features the 31-year-old actress on the cover, Clarke described that the on-screen chemistry she shares with the actor on the HBO series isn't as stimulating as fans might believe. In fact, it's the total opposite.

"I'll tell him, 'Kit, stop being a d**k — stop being so grumpy,' like I would with my brother," she joked to Vanity Fair about working with Harington, who plays Jon Snow, the ally with benefits to Clarke's Queen Daenerys on the show.

Despite their "unnatural and strange" small screen courtship, as Clarke describes it, she's good friends with the English heartthrob… and his fiancee, Rose Leslie, who also had a role on GoT.

"If you've known someone for six years, and they're best friends with your girlfriend, and you're best friends with them, there is something unnatural and strange about doing a love scene,” Clarke told the pub. "We'll end up kissing and then we're just pissing ourselves with laughter because it's so ridiculous."

The Solo actress didn't drop any deets about what the future holds for the Mother of Dragons in the series' ninth and final season, which airs sometime in 2019, but she did say the closing moments "f**ked me up. Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone's mouth of what Daenerys is…" You'll have to wait until next year to find out what that means.
