New members of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame will be inducted on December 3 at Mission Ballroom and the class of 2019 includes Zephyr, a band that came out of Boulder in the late 60's. The band was formed by Tommy Bolin along with David and Candy Givens. After Bolin left, Jock Bartley and Otis Taylor played in the group. Check out this video of Zephyr performing "St. James Infirmary" around 1969 and you'll see why Candy Givens was sometimes called Boulder's Janis Joplin!.
