Growing up, there weren't a lot of "smart" people to look up to in the media. Don't get me wrong: there were always plenty of "Morning Zoo" folks and the like who were intelligent, but had to resort to "dumbing it down." Alex Trebek never betrayed his intelligence when he took to the stage, and he was always a role model to me. Rest In Peace, Alec.
