Here is Meagan & Michael's story:
My husband and I have grown up listening to KBCO and your and Bret’s voices and the morning show bring us comfort and create nostalgia of our childhoods on a daily basis—what sweet sweet memories! We have passed along our love for KBCO to our 14 month old son, Jack, who listens to the morning show each day!
I find it very special that an opportunity like the one being presented at Chautauqua this February. We are newly weds, new parents and never have truly had the opportunity to celebrate our matrimony! I wanted to share our story because it is very special and rooted in Boulder, CO!
My husband and I were both born at Boulder Community (Alpine Campus) in 1992. We first met in elementary school—we were granted the opportunity to model for Pearl Izumi. I didn’t see my husband again until 2 years ago—he was working at Baseline Liquor studying for his masters in education. We connected the dots and realized we were childhood friends! What a joyous reunion!
Shortly after reconnecting, we were blessed with news of a pregnancy. We were so elated and welcomed our baby boy in December 2019. We were excited to heal from the birth and travel to Grand Cayman to celebrate our wedding with our closest family members. We had booked our stay and flights in February before news of COVID. We’ve always wanted a small wedding.
Our trip was cancelled and will continue to be cancelled until future notice. We would love to have the opportunity to celebrate our love at Chautauqua, a place that is so near and dear to our hearts—truly, our home.
Boulder is and will continue to be our safe place, our home, the beginning of our love story and the constant reminder of our lives together.
It would be the most incredible experience to celebrate, put on my wedding gown (not yet worn), toast with family and enjoy our families uniting all in the name of love.
