Robert Plant And Alison Krauss Back Together With Follow Up To Raising Sand

The rumors were true --Robert Plant has recorded a new album with Alison Krauss.

Raise the Roof is the follow-up to 2007's Raising Sand, which debuted at number-two on the Billboard 200, has sold more than a million copies, and won Grammy Awards for Album and Record of the Year.

Like that album, Raise the Roof was produced by T Bone Burnett, and among the 12 songs are covers of ones by Merle Haggard, Allen Toussaint, The Everly Brothers and others.

Plant says, "You hear something and you go, 'Man, listen to that song, we got to sing that song!' It's a vacation, really — the perfect place to go that you least expected to find."

The first single is "Can't Let Go," written by Randy Weeks and first recorded by Lucinda Williams.

Raise the Roof will be released on November 19th and Plant and Krauss will tour together next year.
