Neil Young and Crazy Horse are now streaming the first single from their new album,Barn.
"Song of the Seasons," with Crazy Horse guitarist Nils Lofgren on accordion, made its debut earlier this week only on Young's site, but is now on other services.
Young says the track was “written in Canada about a year ago, it’s the oldest song on Barn. There was a recording of the song done in my hometown that is the earliest. This is the first one with Crazy Horse! It starts the album.”In addition to the 10-track album, Young will release a film of the same name directed by his wife, actress Daryl Hannah. He says it will “capture this legendary band in their element -- in the world, their easy humor, their brotherhood, their humanity."
Barn, recorded this summer in "a barn built to replicate [his] 1850s barn that had collapsed in exactly the same place, high in the mountains of Colorado," will be released on December 10th.
Barn is the first Neil and Crazy Horse album since 2019's Colorado.
