The late Robbie Robertson will be celebrated Wednesday in L.A.

Robbie Robertson will be remembered with an intimate, invitation-only private memorial concert this Wednesday night at The Village Studios in Los Angeles where he had an office for many years.

Robbie Robertson: A Celebration of His Life and Music will be hosted by his longtime friend and collaborator, director Martin Scorsese, with performances by Jackson BrowneRocco DeLucaAngela McCluskeyBlake Mills Group and Citizen Cope.

Robertson died on August 9th from prostate cancer. He was 80. His passing leaves keyboardist and sax player Garth Hudson as the only surviving member of The Band. Ironically, Hudson is also the oldest member of the group at 86. He now resides in an assisted-living facility in Upstate New York.
