New LP from Vampire Weekend! See the trailer for "Only God Was Above Us"

Vampire Weekend will release their fifth album, Only God Was Above Us, on April 5th.

The album title comes from the cover photo that was shot at subway graveyard in New Jersey. A man in a subway car reads the May 1st, 1988 edition of the New York Daily News with the cover story about the explosion that tore the roof off Aloha Airlines flight 243. The headline quotes a survivor who said "Only God Was Above Us."

The band will share two tracks from it, "Capricorn" and "Gen-X Cops" on February 16th.

Only God Was Above Us is the follow-up to 2019’s Father of the Bride, which was the band’s third consecutive #1 album on the Billboard 200.
