Bruce Springsteen did a surprise performance before his main set Sunday in Kilkenny, Ireland. see the video below!
He came out to treat who he called the "early birds" to an acoustic version of "This Hard Land," which he hadn't done since 2018.
When it was time for the main set, he kicked it off with a cover of The Pogues' "A Rainy Night in Soho" in tribute to that band's late singer Shane MacGowan who died last November.
Another highlight, or perhaps lowlight, came during "Spirit in the Night" when Springsteen jumped into the pit but couldn't get back out, having to be lifted over the barricade by security.
Springsteen continues his tour Thursday in Cork, Ireland.
