Over the weekend, Copper Mountain had helicopter operations taking place on the mountain to remove old lift towers from the Timberline Express chairlift to make way for the new lift, which is being constructed this summer.
Copper has partnered with Leitner Poma to upgrade the Timberline Express chairlift, located on the western side of the mountain. The resort is replacing the 4-person chairlift with a high-speed 6-pack chairlift, which will greatly increase the lift’s uphill capacity. The new lift is set to debut for the 2024-25 winter season.
