Eddie Vedder at Ohana Festival with a song dedicated to Hurricane victims

The Ohana Festival----

Zach Irons, son of onetime Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons .joined Pearl Jam at the encore for the band's live debut of "The Whale Song," a Pearl Jam deep cut written and sung by Zach's father during sessions for 1998's Yield album, but not released until a year later on the ocean conservancy benefit album M.O.M. III: Music for Our Mother Ocean.

Introducing Zach, Vedder told the crowd that they'd invited Jack to sing it, but that he was unable to make it to the show. Eddie said they were thinking about the people who are "under water". He was talking about the people affected by Hurricane Helene.

Eddie Vedder joined Crowded House for two songs during their set at the Ohana Festival Friday in Dana Point, California. Together, they did covers of Hunters & Collectors’ “Throw Your Arms Around Me” and Split Enz’s “I Got You.” On Saturday, Crowded House’s three FinnsNeil and sons Liam and Elroy, joined Pearl Jam on “Rockin’ in the Free World" -
