Keith Richards performs with Vince Gill at the Country Music Hall of Fame

Keith Richards was in Nashville Sunday night to help honor his friend and fellow guitarist James Burton at his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Richards — along with Rolling Stones drummer Steve JordanVince GillEmmylou Harris and others — performed "I Can't Dance," the Tom T. Hall song that Emmylou's late boyfriend and Keith's buddy Gram Parsons covered with Burton on his [Parsons'] 1974 album, Grievous Angel

"What a surprise," said Burton. "They’re all my heroes, all these guys I work with. And I want to thank God for giving me a small part of being with these people. I'm so honored; I love them all."

Elvis Costello was also there, doing Ricky Nelson's "Believe What You Say," which Burton played on in 1958.

Burton, best known for his work with Elvis Presley, is also a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which Richards inducted him into in 2001.
