Next up - The Rolling Stones' concerts archives a show from London in '99

The next release from The Rolling Stones' concerts archives is Welcome to Shepherd's Bush, a 90-minute set from the 18-hundred seat theater in London's West End on June 8th, 1999.

The "secret show" followed the release of their 1998 live album, No Security, and a series of North American gigs between January and April that year before the start of their UK tour a few days later at the 70,000-seat Wembley Stadium, also in London.

This show featured a few rarities, including the only known performance to date of "Moon Is Up" off their Voodoo Lounge album, and, also from that album, "Brand New Car," which was only one of seven times they performed it. They also did "Melody" off of Black and Blue, which was only performed once before in 1977 at their legendary El Mocambo show in Toronto, and Sheryl Crow joined them on "Honky Tonk Women."

Among those in the audience were Jimmy PageRobert PlantPete TownshendAerosmith and Lenny Kfravitz.

Welcome to Shepherd’s Bush will be released on various formats on December 6th, including on white 180-gram vinyl.
