R.E.M. has released a timely lyric video for “I Believe.”

R.E.M. have released a new lyric video for "I Believe" that's inspired by Michael Stipe's old tourwear.

"I Believe" is on 1986's Life's Rich Pageant and the band's recent politically themed compilation called We Are Hope Despite the Times. The clip was directed by R.E.M. art director Chris Billheimer and was inspired by the handmade designs Stipe used for T-shirts to wear during the Fables of the Reconstruction tour in 1985 as well as the politically themed T-shirts he wore during 1991 MTV Video Music Awards. Watch it on YouTube.

Stipe says about the video, "I believe the choices in this election could not be more stark or more important. Please vote and encourage everyone you know to do the same -- that is how we win in 2024 and I believe we can do it!"
