Production on the films about each member of The Beatles -- The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event -- is moving forward.
Director Sam Mendes has cast his John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, and three of them are the same ones we reported on last June -- Harris Dickinson will portray Lennon, Paul Mescal will take on McCartney, Joseph Quinn and not Charlie Rowe is the new Harrison, and Barry Keoghan will do his best Ringo.
Each of the four films, which will be told from the perspective of one of the four Beatles, will take over a year to film with the goal to have them premiere in April 2028.
These are also the first-ever films to be granted music rights to The Beatles’ discography.
