Phish gets the #1 Fan Vote in the Rock Hall-Here's what that means!

The Rock & Roll Fan Vote wrapped up Monday and Phish, who led throughout, finished with 330,000 ballots cast. So-- what this means is that Phish, Bad Company, Billy Idol, Cyndi Lauper and Joe Cocker -- the top five vote getters -- will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to determine the 2025 Inductees. 

The Class of 2025 will be announced Sunday night on ABC's American IdolJames Taylor, who was inducted in 2000, will be on hand mentoring this year's Idol finalists.

The 40th annual induction ceremony will be held in the fall in Los Angeles. The date has yet to be announced.

With over two-and-a-half million ballots cast, the final order, with the number of votes rounded up, was:

  1. Phish - 330,000
  2. Bad Company - 281,000
  3. Billy Idol - 260,500
  4. Cyndi Lauper - 237,000
  5. Joe Cocker - 234,000
  6. Soundgarden - 233,000
  7. Chubby Checker - 203,000
  8. The Black Crowes - 165,200
  9. Mariah Carey - 138,000
  10. Joy Division + New Order - 120,500
