Bruce Springsteen has released a video for "Sunday Love,” one of the 83 songs on his forthcoming box set, Tracks II: The Lost Albums, a collection of seven unreleased albums.
Shot in black and white, it shows footage of New York City, its bridges and rivers.
The song is on the album titled Twilight Hours, an ode to the great American pop music tradition. Written in tandem with 2019’s Western Stars, it’s a collection that Springsteen describes as “romantic, lost-in-the-city songs."
He says, “At one time it was either a double record [with Western Stars] or they were part of the same record. I love Burt Bacharach and I love those kinds of songs and those kinds of songwriters. I took a swing at it because the chordal structures and everything are much more complicated, which was fun for me to pull off. All this stuff could have come right off of those sixties albums.”
Tracks II: The Lost Albums will be out on June 27th in numerous configurations.
