In the Kitchen with Ronnie Wood, as he cooks and talks about Tina Turner!

Rolling Stones’ guitarist Ronnie Wood recently joined Irish chef Clodagh [prn: Clo-duh] McKenna at her farm in Hampshire, England for some conversation and cooking. The chat was published in her column for The Daily Mail's You Magazine.

Among the topics discussed was how Tina Turner was his favorite celebrity to hang out with backstage.

“I was the only one she’d let visit her dressing room straight after a show. And she’d say, ‘Come here!’ and give me a huge sweaty hug. We stayed friends and she came to watch us on tour in [Europe] shortly before she died [in 2023].”

He adds that during that visit she met his wife Sally and their twin daughters, Alice and Gracie, and she was surprised at how much he’d settled down.

“[She] couldn’t believe how my life had changed and I’d become a family man. She was a beautiful spirit and I loved her.”

He also talked about his favorite meal on tour is eggs benedict because it sustains him for the day, and how he and Keith Richards will have a little shepherd's pie before going on stage, but it's "gotta be done right otherwise out the window it goes." He's also a fan of oysters, crab and sea bass with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
