Twenty One Pilots Put On Impressive ‘Drum Show’ At 2026 ALTer EGO

Twenty One Pilots kicked the energy of the 2026 iHeartRadio ALTer EGO presented by Capital One up a couple notches with a fiery set of hits spanning a decade.

Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun owned the stage owned the stage during their set at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday (January 17), leading the crowd through songs like "Overcompensate" and "Next Semester" from Clancy and "Stressed Out" from Blurryface to newer tracks like "The Contract," from their latest album Breach, a project released September 2025 that concluded the conceptual series started 10 years prior with Blurryface and continued through 2018's Trench and 2021's Scaled and Icy.

They also got the audience going with singles like "Heathens," "Shy Away" from Scaled and Icy, an explosive back-to-back of "Jumpsuit" and "City Wall," and "Rawfear," which had Joseph walking through the crowd and up into the seats.

Their time on stage also featured plenty of surprises, from Jack White appearing in a video giving the band "permission" to perform the White Stripes' hit "Seven Nation Army" and bringing iHeartRadio's Stryker on stage to sing along with "Ride" to both Joseph and Dun taking crowd surfing to a new literal level when they each hopped onto small platforms held up only by group effort and in Dun's case, even holding a mini drum set during the aptly-timed "Drum Show."

Prior to taking the stage, Joseph and Dun chatted with iHeartRadio's Woody about what fans can expect next as well as how their lives have changed since becoming fathers. Joseph has three kids with wife Jenna while Dun recently welcomed his first child with wife Debby Ryan, making his ALTer EGO appearance his first show since becoming a dad.

Twenty One Pilots is one of several alternative artists and rock groups nominated to take home a trophy at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26, earning nods in categories like Alternative Song of the Year and Alternative Artist of the Year. See the full list of nominees here.
