The Rolling Stones' bio-pic is moving forward!

Back in June, Mick Jagger told GQ UK he was intrigued by The Rolling Stones getting the same bio-pic treatment that The Beatles are receiving in director Sam Mendes’s The Beatles – A Four Film Cinematic Event, which is due out in April 2028.

Well, it's now moving forward as they've reportedly signed an agreement with U.S. production company 101 Studios.

The Sun quotes a source who says the agreement has been completed, although substantial creative decisions remain to be made.

“No casting has started,” adds the source. “How the film will look and feel, and the stories it will tell, is being organized now.”

While no other details are available, Jagger did say he's already thought about how the project could work, saying, “I don’t want to impart it to you, but, I know how I see it. There’s lots of ways of doing bio-pics. So most of the time when you do a bio-pic, you do one small section of someone’s life bookended by some other stuff. Take the Bob Dylan movie [A Complete Unknown]. You do the moment when Bob went electric.

“You’d have to think, what are you going to zero in on? And where’s your two years of interest? I mean that Bob Dylan one was two years, [the] James Brown one that I produced [2014's Get On Up] was slightly more.”

The only problem for Jagger was he couldn't name a specific time period in the Stones' 64-year career to focus on, because "it’s a long period" -- 64 years to be exact.

A spokeswoman for the Stones has not responded to our request for comment.
