Can you sing like Freddie Mercury?
YouTube and Google, in partnership with Queen and their record labels, have launched an experiment called FreddieMeter to find out if there are others who sound like him.
FreddieMeter measures how closely your voice matches his by analyzing the pitch, timbre and melody on a scale of 0 to 100.
If you're up for the challenge, you go to freddiemeter.withyoutube.com, pick one of the four songs ("Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Somebody to Love” or “We Are the Champions”) and sing your heart out. The application will tell you how closely you resemble his singing style.
The whole project is a fundraiser for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the AIDS charity set up in the late singer's name.
