Bret was in high school when he got his first radio job. He worked for a little 10-watt station in Michigan and had his FCC broadcast license 2 years before he had a driver’s license! He made his way to KBCO in the summer of 1997.

Bret says he loves the interaction with the audience, so his show is full of bits that involve the listener. The Sage of World Class Rock allows listeners to call in and ask him any music question …as long as it’s not about Jimmy Buffett.

Bret has also had the opportunity to speak with some of the biggest names in music, politics, news, and entertainment throughout his career. When asked who some of the biggies were, Bret replied “Paul McCartney, Barack Obama, Jamie ‘Klinger’ Farr! I like dropping the BIG names.”
