Tom Petty's death hasn't really set in with me yet. When I play his songs, I just don't feel like I should be speaking about him in the past tense. Of course with his amazing legacy of music, Petty will always be with us not only today but for generations to come. I was watching videos of his interviews and performances earlier today and there was one in particular that really struck a chord with me in the aftermath of his sudden death: a hauntingly beautiful "Learning to Fly" recorded on the Heartbreakers' 30th Anniversary Tour.
