The Police have released a previously unseen video for "Don’t Stand So Close to Me" off their third album, 1980's Zenyatta Mondatta.
Taking a page out of The Beatles and their second movie, Help!, it shows the trio messing about on the ski slopes of Grey Rock in Quebec, which is where the original video was shot. The band was scheduled to perform in Montreal, but it was canceled, which gave them time to shoot the video.
The release of this video, dubbed the "Official Christmas Version," is fueling speculation that there could be a deluxe reissue of Zenyatta Mondattacoming.
Earlier this year, guitarist Andy Summers said a four-disc version of The Police’s second album, 1979'sRegatta De Blanc, is in the works.
