For his Birthday, Graham Nash wants Spotify to STOP playing his tunes.

Graham Nash is supporting Neil Young . He wants Spotify to stop playing his music too. Nash turns 80 tomorrow. Imagine that as a birthday present!).

He says, "Having heard the COVID disinformation spread by [comedian and podcaster] Joe Rogan on Spotify, I completely agree with and support my friend, Neil Young, and I am requesting that my solo recordings be removed from the service.

“There is a difference between being open to varying viewpoints on a matter and knowingly spreading false information which some 270 medical professionals have derided as not only false but dangerous. Likewise, there is a difference between misinformation, in which one is unaware that what is being said is false, versus disinformation which is knowingly false and intended to mislead and sway public opinion. The opinions publicized by Rogan are so dishonest and unsupported by solid facts that Spotify becomes an enabler in a way that costs people their lives."

David Crosby, who is estranged from Young, agrees, tweeting, "Neil and Joni [Mitchell] and Nils [Lofgren] and others are correct… The streamers do carry people telling outright lies that are really doing harm… I would do the same if I could."

Crosby can't follow suit because he sold the rights to his music and he says that company "would not cut revenue to please me... Not a chance."

He sold it last March to Irving Azoff’s Iconic Artists Group.
