Foo Fighters cancel the tour including Aug 6th at Empower Field

Foo Fighters have confirmed that they're canceling all their tour dates this year in the wake of Taylor Hawkins's death.

According to a press release from The Denver Broncos----

The Foo Fighters were to be at Empower Field at Mile High on Saturday, Aug. 6 th.

Tickets purchased for the Denver show will receive a refund.

Those who purchased tickets from Ticketmaster will automatically receive a refund.

Individuals who purchased directly from the Empower Field at Mile High box office using cash as a method of payment, must return to the box office to receive their refund. Purchases made at the box office with a credit card will be automatically refunded.

“It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins. We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together.”

This leaves a big hole in the schedule of many festivals.

The Foo Fighters were to headline Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Jazz Fest in New Orleans, Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida, Boston Calling and Aftershock in Sacramento, California. The band also had 30 other North American headlining dates that included eight stadium shows, including the one in Denver.
