Black Crowes new EP of covers is out May 4th. Here's a sampler of "1972"

The Black Crowes have revealed more details about the 1972 EP they announced back in February at a show in Las Vegas.

The covers EP is due out digitally May 4th exclusively through Amazon Music, and in CD and vinyl editions through the band's Silver Arrow label on May 6th. One track, a take on The Temptations' "Papa Was a Rolling Stone," is streaming now through Amazon Music.

The rest of the EP includes covers of “Rocks Off” from The Rolling Stones, “The Slider” by T-Rex, “You Wear It Well” from Rod Stewart, “Easy to Slip” by Little Feat and “Moonage Daydream” from David Bowie.

The band will play the entire EP during a show May 4th at the Whiskey a Go-Go in Los Angeles, and it will stream via Amazon Music’s Twitch channel.
