Sheryl Crow "blown away" to be nominated for the Rock Hall of Fame

Sheryl Crow has commented on being nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

She posted a video saying, “I just want to say I’m so honored and blown away!... I can’t believe I’m nominated to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

“I’ve been to the Rock Hall of Fame when it wasn’t televised and got to see Bob Dylan … [and] Fleetwood Mac I got to induct.

"I got to see Prince and Tom Petty, and obviously, the people that have influenced me and brought me to where I am and made me want to be what I am and made me want to do what I’m doing for all these years are in the Hall of Fame. So it just feels monumentally sacred.

“I just want to say thank you to the powers that be here or whoever put me on that list. It’s just, it really means so much to me. So thank you.”

Sheryl was nominated along with The SpinnersIron MaidenJoy Division / New OrderCyndi LauperWarren ZevonA Tribe Called QuestRage Against the MachineMissy ElliottSoundgardenGeorge MichaelKate BushWillie Nelson, and The White Stripes.

The Top 5 artists selected by the public will make up a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to determine the 2023 Inductees. Voting is capped at one ballot per day.

Inductees will be announced in May along with the date and location of the induction ceremony in the fall.
