David Byrne will perform his Best Original Song nominee "This Is a Life" from Everything Everywhere All at Once on the Oscars on March 12th.
However, Byrne will not performing with his co-nominated songwriter Mitski. It's not clear why she won't be part of the ceremony. Her place has been taken by Stephanie Hsu from the film, who is up for Best Supporting Actress. They'll be backed by Sox Lux, who are nominated for Best Original Score. The band's leader, Ryan Lott, is nominated alongside Byrne and Mitski for Best Original Song.
Byrne already has one Oscar on his shelf -- he won Best Original Score in 1988 for his work on The Last Emperor.
