Two members of The Grateful Dead are heading south of the border in January.
Bob Weir and Mickey Hart will headline The Dead Ahead Festival, January 12th to the 15th, in Riviera Cancun, Mexico.
Joining them will be two of their Dead and Company bandmates -- Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge -- along with Don Was, Derek Trucks and his wife Susan Tedeschi, Margo Price, Sturgill Simpson and others.
Two of the dates will celebrate the Grateful Dead songbook, while Weir with the Wolf Brothers, featuring the Wolfpack, headline another. And Hart's Noche de Ondas will provide a ”late night rhythmic experience.”
