Mumford & Sons fans might still be waiting for a new album if it wasn't for Marcus Mumford's wife, three time Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan.
Mumford told the Zach Sang Show that he was going through a big case of writer's block trying to come up with lyrics for Rushmere. And that's when Mulligan came up with the solution.
“My wife kicked me out of the house. She was like, ‘You are driving yourself and me, by the way, insane. You have got to go somewhere and be away from home to be an artist for a few days.' So I went to Istanbul and I sat in a cafe for three days and drank coffee, smoked cigars and wrote poetry like [an idiot]. I allowed myself to go away and be an artist for a few days and then the Rushmere lyrics came."
