The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will announce its Class of 2025 this Sunday night during ABC's American Idol.
Once again, the 14 nominees are:
- Bad Company
- Billy Idol
- Joe Cocker
- Cyndi Lauper
- Soundgarden
- The Black Crowes
- Chubby Checker
- Oasis
- Outkast
- Mariah Carey
- Joy Division/New Order
- Phish
- Mana
- The White Stripes
To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.
Nominee ballots were sent to an international voting body of more than 1200 artists, historians and members of the music industry.
There was also the Fan Vote where the top five artists selected by the public comprised a “fans’ ballot” that is tallied along with the other ballots to determine the 2025 Inductees.
The Top 5 vote-getters were:
- Phish
- Bad Company
- Billy Idol
- Cyndi Lauper
- Joe Cocker
The 2025 Induction Ceremony will held in November in Los Angeles.
