NEW album for Tedeschi Trucks- Debuting the new song, "Future Soul" tonight

Tedeschi Trucks Band are back with their new album Future Soul this weekend.

One thing fans will notice is that Future Soul is much shorter than 2022's I Am the Moon, which spanned four discs and clocked in at 2 hours and 10 minutes. Derek Trucks tells us that they wanted to do something that took up less listening time.

Trucks says they recorded six other songs that didn't make the album, "So we've got an EP in our back pocket."

Future Soul is also the first time the band has used an outside producer in more than a decade. Trucks says he'd wanted to work with Mike Elizando for a long time and that this album was perfect because he wanted someone else's prospective on their revamped studio.

Tedeschi Trucks Band are in the middle of their 10-show residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, and a performance of "Future Soul" from that stage will air on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight (Thursday).

They will be at Red Rocks this summer --7/31-8/1
