Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell will release his fourth album with his band, The Dirty Knobs.
He says Mission of Mercy is an "action-packed collection of tunes that continue the vibe we established as well as some new directions in the songwriting. It's full-throttle Knobs from start to finish and we look forward to playing these live this year."
The first single, "I Remember," is streaming now.
Mission of Mercy is Campbell and the Knobs' first album since 2024's Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits. It features appearances by Kate Pierson of The B-52s, and Morgane Stapleton, the wife of his friend, country singer Chris Stapleton, who Campbell is opening up for on October 2nd in Bristow, Virginia. Campbell and Stapleton also co-wrote to songs for Stapleton's 2020 album, Starting Over.
Mission of Mercy will be out on June 12th followed by a tour starting July 7th in Minneapolis. So far there is no date scheduled for Denver!
