After Paul McCartney performed his new song, "Days We Left Behind," along with "Band on the Run" and "Coming Up" on Saturday Night Live last week, he did two Beatles songs for the studio audience, "Help!" and "Drive My Car."
During "Help!" the night's host Will Farrell joined in on cowbell, a nod to the 2000 SNL skit, "More Cowbell," where Farrell, as a "member" of "Blue Oyster Cult," played cowbell on "Don't Fear the Reaper" at the direction of Christopher Walken as producer "Bruce Dickinson." Ironically, Farrell should have played the cowbell on "Drive My Car," as that's what Ringo Starr played on the original version. (See video below.)
