Mick Jagger and Ron Wood talk about the new album, out July 10th

A week after Paul McCartney was a guest on the BBC Radio 2 show Tracks of My Years, it was Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood's turn. But instead of picking songs, like McCartney did, the show picked a few by The Rolling StonesMuddy Waters, and Chuck Berry for them to comment, while host Vernon Kay interviewed them in between.

One of the more interesting segments was when Mick Jagger talked about what it takes to be a frontman, with Kay calling him a "show-off."

"That's the exciting thing about it is being this big show-off. And, you have to be an extrovert. There's no really room for shrinking violets in that particular role. You can be a shrinking violet as a bass player, or a drummer even, but you can't be a shrinking violet as a front person. So, you have to give yourself into crowd. And you become part of them and have a relationship with them."

Jagger and Woody were on the show to promote the Stones new album, Foreign Tongues, which will be out on July 10th. You can watch the complete episode of Tracks of My Years on YouTube.
